Elements of art overview
Line: the movement from one point to another.

Shape: Implied from; series or one connected line.

Colour: Uses basic hues of the primary colours, as well as black and white shades.

Value: differences in lightness and darkness.

Texture: The implied qualities of a surface; the way we would perceive a surface to feel.

Space: how the art is organized; how space is used and how objects can look 3D on a flat surface.

Art as a language
Art is made up of different elements and principles. The elements are the different aspects of a piece of art, and the principles are how they all work together.
